Background:
These four stamps celebrate the art of skateboarding through their vibrant designs. Each stamp captures the passion of skateboarding and showcases the diversity and influence of the four artists' work. Alaskan artist Crystal Worl uses blue and indigo salmon motifs to express her heritage. Virginia artist William James Taylor Jr. created a bright red and orange abstract print. Muralist Federico Maspaz Frum from Colombia shows a uniquely shaped jaguar. Di'Orr Greenwood from Arizona, on the other hand, represents her Navajo culture with a turquoise skateboard. The stamps were designed by art director Antonio Alcala using skateboard photos. These skateboard art stamps are issued in a permanent stamp value that is always equal to the current First-Class Mail price for one ounce.
